How did I get here?
I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life as a teenager -looking back it is obvious that acting is in my soul. After completing my music degree, I trained as a school teacher, then did a TEFL course and went to Sicily for an incredible year. Teaching English as a foreign language involved acting out scenarios in the classroom, which I loved, and one of my students said I should be an actress. On returning to England a fellow singer suggested I go into acting, so I did an acting workshop and knew this was where I was meant to be. I am ever grateful to those who saw what hadn't even entered my consciousness.
My career has been (and still is!) a challenge - I started late and didn't go to one of the 'top' drama schools; I represented myself for many years, finally landing an agent after 4 years of hustle, and I have continued to move forwards slowly but incrementally. On the way I have considered throwing in the towel multiple times, because the industry is so tough, and being a solo parent is another level of challenge!! But I am still here because I feel I have so much more to give. And the industry has been amazing for my daughter; she has been on numerous workshops, sets, and in many theatres, and even assisted with props on my film Box Red.

Throughout this time I have had therapy, life coaching and mentoring, and have been supported by the Actors Children's Trust. Without help from these wonderful people I would not be where I am now, and this is why I feel drawn to supporting and guiding others too; to pass forward what I have learned and received.

I have experimented with writing, directing and producing (check out my Vimeo), run workshops and coached both professional and non-professional actors, all of which have brought so much joy into my life.
Various jobs I have had along the way: FOH staff, Assistant Bursar, promo work, Project Manager, Corporate Trainer, Corporate Roleplay Actress - bringing me into multiple different worlds and teaching me so much about people and how we ultimately all need each other to thrive.

The pull to support others started about 15 years ago, during which time I have had counselling training and life coaching training, both of which I loved but didn't quite sit right with how I wish to guide others. So I am mentoring in the way that feels right for me; my focus is empathic listening, and gently guiding you to make decisions based on your intuition, with some practical tools thrown in to help the process. I hold a space to laugh and to cry, and will meet you where you are at.
